Ida Ingemarsdotter grew up with skis on her feet...she moved to Mora for high school and to Östersund for studies in 2005.. she started her international career at the FIS Nordic Junior World Ski Championships in Stryn in 2004 and finished 2nd in the sprint free...shortly after she competed for the first time in a World Cup competition in Stockholm... in 2005 she scored the third place in classical sprint at the Junior Worlds in Rovaniemi...in 2007 she started for the first time at the FIS Nordic World Ski Championships in Sapporo and took eighth place while she claimed the Vice-U23 World Championship title in sprint in Malles a year later...in 2009 Ingemarsdotter was just edged out of the podium at the FIS Nordic World Ski Championships in Liberec in sprint placing fourth...in 2010 she took a podium spot for the first time at the World Cup having been second fastest in Canmore...at the Olympics she finished 15th in the sprint and 5th in the relay… in 2011 at the FIS Nordic World Ski Championships in Oslo she took the gold medal in team sprint and reached the silver medal in relay |
