Yesterday I returned from South-West. At 9.00 a.m. I started at a mountain race Taninges - Praz de Lys. It has become every year tradition for me to take part in this race. The demanding course goes from the center of Taninges to reach the center of Le Praz de Lys. 12km, 1134m above the sea level. As usual I was fast after the start. I was ready to fight the uphill alone but this time, Martin Cox, a British marathon specialist came unexpectedly. I was surprised when he was more than a minute behind me at Roy Lake, he caught me at the crossroads of Col de la Ramaz. 1km before the finish line he speeded up and left me behind. He set up new track record 1h00'00 ". I finished second having lost on him 23sec and improving my personal best time from last year by more than a minute. My friend Arnaud Barbe from the Ski Club of Agy, captured a nice third place with 1h04'31 ". On the ladies‘ side Aurelie Dabudick was the fastest with 1h18'14 ".
