What a dramatic day

It was a great day with nice weather and good snow conditions. The courses were demanding and tough. From the beginning on there was excitement. The drama started with the crash of Majdic followed by impressing performances by her, the Russians and Marit Bjoergen.
 
I'm happy that we had 9 different nations so far  on the podium and also the first ever medal for Slovenia in Cross-Country skiing which came with a hard fight of Petra Majdic. And interesting fact is also that it was the second individual gold medal for an Olympic skiers for Norway. The first Norwegian medal was won by Bente Skari (former Martinsen), who is a jury member in this Olympics.

I'm looking forward for the next races and hoping that we will see even more nations on the podium.
