The season highlight, the 2010 Winter Olympics are over. Unfortunately they ended for me not like I wished as I got sick in the last week and wasn't able to compete at the final 50 km race.
After a couple of rest day's, I started for the first time in my career in Lahti in the Pursuit and on the past weekend I was competing in the 50km at Holmenkollen. That was a great competition, a lot of spectators were sitting in the wood and had fun by watching Cross-Country. I felt good in the day and was until the last ski exchange well situated in the first bigger group..but then - the "man with the hammer came".. and I had problems to follow the chasing group, the course is tough and I was just tired and ended up finally on the 11th place. A good result - but I was first a bit disappointed because if I would not have lost the contact to the group a top ten rank would be easily realistic.
Now we are on the way to the World Cup final - I'm still motivated to race and focused to finish the season in the red group. Cross the fingers for me and have fun by following the World Cup Final!
Yours Curdin
