Norway's Astrid Jacobsen and Emil Joensson of Sweden were quickest in today's classical sprint  qualifying session in Lahti.

Jacobsen edged out by more than two seconds Aino Kaisa Saarinen of Finland. Justyna Kowalczyk is qualified with third best time. Current Sprint World Cup leader Kikkan Randall has 5th best time.

On the men's side Emil Joensson was superior in the 1.4 qualifying round ahead of Norwegian youngster Paal Golberg. Golberg's compatriot Johan Kjoelstadqualified with third best time.
