As announced earlier, Fredrik Aukland will not extend his contract with Swiss Ski. However, he will become personal coach of Dario Cologna. The Norwegian will take care of the Swiss star in the most important World Cup races and at the World Championships in Oslo.
Dario Cologna asked Aukland to continue in prepation. Under the 31-year-old Norwegian he won the Olympic gold, Tour de Ski and the overall World Cup 2008/09.
Aukland worked for teh Swiss Ski for 2 years. He stepped out due to family reasons. Aukland will focus on the most important races and will lead the best Swiss cross-country skier in the next season only at the major World Cup races and at the World Championships in Oslo. Cologna will be increase number of training days in Norway.
