Evi Sachnebacher Stehle counts among best German Cross-Country skiers. And last season she managed to capture Olympic medals again. In the Team Sprint with Claudia Nystad adn in relay with Claudia Nystad, Katrin Zeller and Miriam Gössner. FIS Cross-Country brings you exclusive interview with Evi Sachenbacher Stehle.

FIS Cross-Country: Evi, how are you this summer? How do you feel?

Evi Sachenbacher Stehle: I'm fine this summer. It is fir the first time I do not have any problems or injuries. It is great because I do my training like I want to do it and I am not limited by other factors. I never had this before, so my training is going very well.

FIS Cross-Country: So you must be satisfied with progress you have made in training?

ES: Yes, I'm satisfied with progress, also that I have no more problems any more. So, it can't be better.

FIS Cross-Country: Did you adapt or change your training? Rollerskiing, running, cycling?

ES: Until now I have not carried out so much rollerskiing, more running and cycling. But now the rollerskiing starts more and more on my training schedule. My workouts will become now more specific.

FIS Cross-Country: Your national coach Jochen Behle was 50 two weeks ago. How did you celebrate it?

ES: There was a small part to ceiebrate his birthday, but you know, we were in the middle of the training camp so it was not big.

FIS Cross-Country: What are your plans for summer?

ES: I will take part in some summer races in Norway. I am going to Blink Festival and to Aure in August. After that there will be a training camp in Goms in Switzerland. In our training schedule there is naturally some time in Ramsau on glacier.

FIS Cross-Country: When you look back now, how do you evaluate last season?

ES: Last spring I had been operated on my heel, so I had a lot of problems during summer and in the beginning of winter. My start in the season was not the best and far from ideal, but it got better and better. Everything resulted in a great performance in Whistler. Looking back, I'm very satisfied with last season.

FIS Cross-Country: What are you plans for next season? Where would you like to be?

ES: My plan is simple. I want to stay healthy during the whole winter. Not surprisingly I want to be in best shape in World Championships in Oslo.

FIS Cross-Country: Will you take part in Tour de Ski or will you skip it?

ES: I don't know yet, but I think I will take part of the Tour de Ski.
