Dario Cologna is back after the Tour de Ski break and goes through the classical sprint qualification with the fastest time. Marit Bjoergen won the sprint prologue on the ladies' side.

Cologna post the fastest time of 3:28.27. Russia's youngster Gleb Retivykh is qualified with second fastest time having lost +4.2 seconds. Norway's Oeystein Pettersen has been having a good day and after the disappointing performance in Milano is through from the third place.

Marit Bjoergen has been powerful today as she scores the fastest time in the ladies' qualification. Justyna Kowalczyk lost on Bjoergen +0.55 sec. Finland's Krista Kahteenmaki is third +1.32 sec off the pace.
