The defending FIS Cross-Country World Cup Champion and current leader Dario Cologna is skipping the mission in Rybinsk.

The Swiss ace planned to take part in Saturday's 15 km Mass Start Free men and Sunday's 30 km Skiathon but he has changed his plans and stays at home. The temperatures both in Moscow and Rybinsk have been dropping to -20°C. "I do not want to put my health at risk by starting in Rybinsk," Dario Cologna wrote on his website.
