Dario Cologna, current FIS World Cup leader is skipping the distance competitions of the FIS Cross-Country World Cup in Rybinsk and instead takes part in the Continental Cup in Campra, Switzerland.

Yesterday the FIS Tour de Ski triple winner dominated the classical sprint. In the qualifier Cologna did not lay the fastest time. Phil Widmer (CAN) and Cyril Miranda (FRA) were quicker on the 1400m loop than the Olympic champion from Vancouver.

However, from the quarterfinals on, Cologna was competing in a class of his own. Finals were featuring the brother duel between Dario and his younger brother Gianluca, who claimed at the end 6th place. Italy's Nicola Morandini claimed second place and Frenchman Cyril Miranda finished in third position.

Germany's Sandra Ringwald dominated on the ladies' side and edged out two Swiss skiers, Doris Trachsel and Tatjana Stiffler to second and third place.

FIS OPA Cup in Campra continues today with 5/10 km Classic Ladies/Men.
