Drammen (NOR) hosts today‘s World Cup sprint. Emil Jönsson has the chance to capture World Cup Sprint Ranking victory in the streets of the Norwegian ski-crazy town.
Classical sprint in Drammen takes place today which could suit Sweden‘s Emil Jönsson who could make a final move for a revenge and captute the World Cup sprint ranking victory.
Swedish men's team composes of Emil Jönsson, Theodore Peterson, Patrik Johansson, Robin Bryntesson, Mats Larsson and Jesper Modin.
In the women's sprintcup Petra Majdic (SLO) is in the lead. She injured himself badly and broke four ribs in the Olympics Sprint. Petra will not start in the final competitions. Poland‘s Justyna Kowalczyk has a great chance to win a triple, the overall victory, victory in the distance and sprint cup. In the sprint ranking second Justyna has 446 sprint points losing 7 points on Majdic. Aino-Kaisa Saarinen of Finland's is currently placed third with 295 points. The Swedes have a good chance to climb up the sprint ranking. Sweden's squad is Lina Andersson, Anna Olsson, Hanna Falk, Ida Ingemarsdotter, Magdalena Pajala and Eva Svensson (free place).
After Drammen distance races follow at Holmenkollen on Saturday with 30 km Ladies mass start F and 50 km Men mass start F.
