First day of the French Rollerski Nationals took place in Superbesse. Drizzling weather conditions made the 2.5 km Prologue course very slippery and prepared tough times for all the athletes.

Men's prologue was dominated by Robin Duvillard with the fastest time of 4:50.09. Runner up Cyril Gaillard lost on the winner 2,2 sec. Cyril Miranda was only 0,7 sec slower than Gaillard and claimed second place. Vincent Vittoz finished 6th as stood behind by Duvillard by 4. sec. Maurice Manificat arrived 16th with 12.5 sec margin.

On the ladies side Emilie Vina captured victory with a time of 5:20.03. She edged out Anouk Faiver Picon to second place by 1,9 sec. Aurore Cuinet Jean took third place with a time gap of 6,4 sec.

French Nationals continue tomorrow with a mountain race over 8 km with a climb that connects Besse and Superbesse, one of Tour de France stages. Ladies will start at 10:30 and men at 11:00.
