Defending Sprint World Cup winner Emil Joensson will not show up at the Race in the City in Milano coming weekend.

"Emil got cold after the Tour and therefore had to stay at home," Sweden's sprint coach Arild Monsen explained. Joenssen has been coping with health issues this season and due to muscle injury had to jump in the World Cup season later.

"The most important for Emil is to stay at home and get healthy," Monsen said. Joensson is currently holding 13th place in the Sprint World Cup standing.

The Swedish team will be featuring six men and six ladies. Teodor Peterson will be leading Swedish men in Milano occupying current second place in the Sprint World Cup.
