Evi Sachenbacher-Stehle has just signed in Annecy-France, Salomon head quarter, a 4 years contract with Salomon. The 5-time Olympic medalist from Germany will race on Salomon cross-country skis, boots and bindings in her ongoing quest to challenge her body and mind through World Cup, World Championship, Olympic Competition.

Evi, along with here now famous "smile of winter", burst upon the scene at the 2002 Salt-Lake City Olympic Games. Her beaming smile and complementary positive attitude is matched by her competitive drive and endless determination. This rare combination has made her, and her sport, a fan favorite at home in Germany and wherever people have the opportunity to meet her and see her in action.

After the Olympics in Vancouver, Evi decided that if she were to commit to 4 more years of never ending training and racing and still retain her "smile of winter" she would need to find new ways to keep her body healthy, her mind strong, and her skis fast. After several tests, Evi was convinced to get the best possible products from Salomon to fulfill her objectives and dreams.

Evi stated "I had a warmest welcome from all the people at Salomon. The passion they have for sport is tremendous and is put into each and every product they make. From the first moment I tested the new equipment I felt a perfect connection between the skis, bindings, boots and me. I had the feeling that these products are specially made for me. I am now extremely excited to start training for next season and its World Championships in Oslo, and the next 4 years culminating with my 4th Olympics in Sotchi in 2014."
