1.500 journalists voted the best sport team in Germany. Golden duo from Vancouver Sachenbacher-Stehle and Nystad was sixth.

Evi Sachenbacher-Stehle and Claudia Nystad took Gold medal in the Olympic  team sprint and silver medal in 4x5 km Relay. German sport journalists  voted at the first place German national football team. Places two and three belong to German eight and Ice Hockey national team. Before Claudia and Evi were ranked  THW Kiel and FC Bayern München. „It is an honor for us“, said Evi, „especially when you realize who was at the election. I'm really happy,“ concluded Evi Sachenbacher-Stehle.
