FIS World Cup Cross-Country Oslo

Used Course

Ladies 1,3km; Men 1,5km

Special remarks to the participants:

For the last free technique sprint, 64 ladies are entered and also 76 men. Justyna Kowalczyk has planned to be back at the start tomorrow. Petter Northug and Lukas Bauer are both not at the start tomorrow so that tomorrow Northug will for sure have won the overall World Cup.

Race Director Jürg Capol's remark:

The today's races were already a good test for the next year's World Championships. Since 2003 we have the first World Cup in Sprint in Oslo and it will be interesting to see how the new sprint course works out in pratice.
We expect again a high number of spectators. After the big "Grand Slam" (winning all the competitions) of the Saturdays competition day the Norwegian would continue with this good performances.
Among the favourites are the Russians like Petukhov and Morilov, the Norwegians and also the Swedes with Joensson who can decide the sprint World Cup. On the ladies side it will be for sure interesting to see who Vesna Fabjan is performing and also the Italians and the Norwegians.
