German team getting ready for Rogla

Training in Davos, Sprint team sent to Hjochfilzen

The Greman team stayed a few das longer in Davos because there have been ideal training conditions. Sprinters were sent on Tuesday for an Alpen Cup race in Hochfilzen. The rest of the team will arrive in Rogla on Thursday as the OC have been working on competitions courses and they will not be open until then.

Jochen Behle explains why he sent German sprinter to Hochfilzen (AUT): "We have sent them to Hochfilzen to gain confidence and gather race experience. It makes no sense, if they do not pass through the qualification and cannot make it to the finals. Regarding distance specialist we hope we are slowly adjusting their individual pace and rhythm. Renè took the third place in the demanding Marathon in Livingo. This is a proof of our capabilities.

René Sommerfeldt getting in shape?

Classical specialist Jens Filbrich was training in Obertilliach focusing on the 30 kilometers race in Rogla. " For me it will the first important race this year and I want to be in Olympic shape." said René Sommerfeldt.

In Davos, we were working mostly on our speed and exercised short, fast training sessions. We hope that in Rogla we will be in good shape at the start.
Jochen Behle has not decided yet who will start in sprint from the women's team. Men's tem will consist of Axel Teichmann, Tobias Angerer and Tim Tscharnke. Composition of the team fort distance race is to be decided later this week.
