Thanks to Kikkan Randall and Liz Stephen of the US Ski team for providing Inside the Fence (ITF) with GoPro footage from yesterday's pre-race ski of the women's sprint course. In this edition of ITF we caught up with Emil Jönsson (SWE) and Justyna Kowalczyk (POL) and spoke about the course.
Justyna Kowalczyk (POL)
The course is hard and difficult. The sprint course will suit much more to sprinters rather than me. There are some uphills but before the finish there is a long, flat section and it will not be so easy for me. I feel good. I believe it will be a good World Cup for me. My big focus this weekend is Skiathlon on Saturday. I do not have special plans for the sprint tomorrow.
Emil Joensson (SWE)
I love the sprint course in Sochi. It is a tough and technical course. You get many opportunities do stuff on the course and also in the finish. It is perfect. I’m looking forward to tomorrow. It’s going to be fun to see how the shape is.
