Italian ladies' distance were on a training camp in Toblach since last week. Arianna Follis, Silvia Rupil, Elisa Brocard, Virgina De Martin, Magda Genuin and Antonella Confortola were preparing for upcoming season in the Nordic Arena Toblach under supervision of the head coach Silvio Fauner and ladies' coach Fredy Stauder and physiotherapist Erik Benedetto.
Ladies' national team stayed in Südtirol till August 28 and training conditions were almost ideal. Atmosphere among "Azzure" was friendly and relaxed. Especially Arianna Follis was happy with her workouts progress: "Here in Toblach we could carry out optimally our training schedule. Accommodation and training facilities are at high standard especially the new rollerskiing track" said Sprint World Champion Follis.
She has good memories about Toblach as she stormed for victory in the 15 km Free technique race of the Tour de Ski. " It was my only victory in the World Cup last year. I hope I will repeat this result also next year in Toblach where two stages of Tour de Ski will take place" quoted Follis.
The best known Cross-Country series, Tour de Ski returns to Toblach on 5th and 6th January 2011 with Handicap Start race and sprint event. Men will fight again in a 35 km long "A to B" race from Cortina to Toblach. Ladies will measure on 15 km competition.
