Former successful head coach of Germany Jochen Behle starts new working position as sport director of the high performance training center in Willingen/Winterberg.
After the end of his active skiing career Behle had started the coaching life at the Hesse Ski Federation before he was appointed Germany's neational team head coach and led his squad to many successes at the Winter Olympic Games, World Championships and World Cups. Under his leadership, German Cross-Country Skiing went through the most successful period ever. René Sommerfeldt won the overall World Cup title in 2004, Axel Teichmann in 2005 and Tobias Angerer in 2006 and 2007. Long-time biathlon coach Frank Ullrich was announced as Behle’s successor at Germany's national Cross-Country team.
