Jörgen Brink wins Vasaloppet

Jorgen Brink still had strength left in the finish and sprinted over Vasaloppet triple winner Daniel Tynell in the last 100 meters.
 Brink won his first Vasaloppet.
Towards the end a leading group was formed formed with Daniel Tynell, Jorgen Aukland, Jorgen Brink and Stanislav Rezac.
Last kilometers the four were pushing hard when Tynell and Rezac was the most active. Tynell took the lead in the park and toward the center of Mora.
Rezac was trying to open up a margin earlier in the race with Thomas Alsgaard, Joakim Engström, Lars Suther and Rikard Andreasson. 
Brink and Tynell sprinted for victory. The triple winner Tynell was edged out by Brink who won with the time of 4:02:59.
Tynell was second, third Rezac and Jorgen Aukland fourth, Fredrik Östberg was fifth, 38 seconds after and best Italian Marco Cattaneo finished on 6th place, beaten by 51 seconds. One of the biggest favorites for victory Oskar Svärd was 7th.

Victory in ladies' Vasaloppet was captured by Sandra Nystöm ahead of Sandra Hansson.
