Lukas Bauer proved to be in decent shape in summer and took part in the fourth race (out of seven) of the Xterra Xross-Cuntry triathlon.

Lukas Bauer started in the elite group together with biggest favorites for victory. The race consisted of 700 m swimming, 16 km on a bike and 6 km running. Bauer was in contact with the leading group and was in the chasing group which was behind the leaders after biking part. Running is Bauer's favorite part of triathlon and he moved up in the field to the final fifth position and lost on the winner around 2 minutes.
