Lukas Bauer supports European Olympic Youth Winter Festival 2011 which will take place in Liberec next February.
"I like the idea of the festival very much. I have taken part in two Olympic Games and I know how great the feeling is." said Bauer to Czech media and continued: "kids at that age will be able to compete with the best and that opportunity is great. I did not have that chance when I was young." Organizers of the festival cooperate with other Czech athletes such as alpine skier Sarka Zahrobska. "Skiing needs role models. The most important for the young is to have fun. Winning or loosing moves you forward." said Bauer. Double winner of the Tour de Ski has been on a training camp with the rest of the Czech cross-country squad in Liberec.
