Sprint World Champion Marcus Hellner will not continue in the World Cup Final 2011.

Marcus Hellner was forced not to take part in the quarterfinal of the Royal Palace Sprint in Stockholm yesterday, which was the first stage of the World Cup Final 2011. Hellner got ill and is not going to take part in the remaining stages in Falun.

The Sprint World Champion went home with fever and sore throat. “We left Marcus in Stockholm and went to Falun. He will take a plane home to Gällivare,” said Swedish head coach Joakim Abrahamsson.
