Who was Queen of Olympic Winter Games? Simple question and there is a simple answer. Marit Bjoergen. She is getting ready for the next round and fight for World Champion titles. One could paraphsase a saying, if your training works, don't change it. Bjoergen follows this strategy.
Bjoergen followed almost full World Cup program before Christmas last season. After Rogla she dropped out Tour de Ski and spent January on trainings. "For me, the training period I had in December and Christmas last year was decisive for the shape I had in the Olympics" Bjoergen said to Aftenposten.no. In February 2010 she raced in Otepää where she claimed 2nd place in 10 km Classic and 9th spot in sprint Classic. Bjoergen plans to follow similar training model also this year.
After races in La Clusaz (FRA) she will jump off the World Cup series and undergo a three weeks training camp. She will not be back before World Cup weekend in Liberec. Will she become then Queen of World Champs? We will have to wait 169 days to find out.
