Nineteen Norwegians for World Cup finals

Top 50 athletes in the current Wortld Cup standing will take part in the World Cup finals that kick off tomorrow in Stockholm with Royal City Sprint. Except qualified athletes from World Cup U23 Champions from Hinterzarten and Continental Cups winners are eligible to start. Norway planned to send 20 athletes but Astrid Ear Slind had to step down due to sickness.

„Except Sweden which can use their national quota the Norwegian team will be far biggest. We must be happy with this "says sports manager Åge Skinstad. There could have been even more Norwegians.

Karianne Bjellånes ranked on 51st place in the overall World Cup standing did not qualify for te finals by only three points. Simen Ostensen is currently 52nd and was two points from 50th place.
