Askim will host first event of the Norway Rollerski cup. Several of the best cross country skiers will be at the starting line. On 18 June starts the World Cup in Germany Markkleeberg.

The American sprint star, Kikkan Randall is ready for start in Askim streets. Including Ella Gjømle Berg and Guro Strøm Solli.
"I do not know how good is Kikkan on the rollerskis, but she is known as the woman in the World Cup circus with the most "push" in the legs. She is both strong and fast as well. It is very fun to have her on the starting line " said on of the best roller skiers of last years Ragnar Bragvin Andresen.
Randall claimed second place in the sprint event in Holmenkollen during Pre-World championships last winter, and is also silver sprint medalist from Liberec World Championships 2009. There is no doubt that the American skier will be an attraction in the opening of the Norway's Cup.
In Askim, there are two races on the same day. First event is sprint over 200 meters which will be followed with a second competition -1230 meters steep mountain race. Sandnes, and trial-World Trout / Kristiansund in August.
