The ladies team relay featured the usual Norwegian domination, with Marit Bjoergen closing the relay of the cross-country "dream team" and giving the 6th gold of these World Championships to Norway. Silver to Sweden, bronze to Russia.
Bjoergen, Weng, Johaug and Steira: the poker of Queens of the Norwegian team were the same who dominated the skiathlon of few days ago, but this time they were all worthy of a gold medal and they all climbed on the highest step of the podium.
Without many surprises, Norway conquered the gold in the ladies 4x5 team relay, in a race that strong performances by individual athletes, like Justyna Kowalczyk (classic technique), Jessica Diggins and Yulia Tchekaleva (free technique). The Norwegian dominance never looked in trouble, even if for few seconds when Norway was in 2nd position, right behind a surprising Poland.
Then, it was once again time for the latest episode of the "Norway-show" series, with Kristin Stoermer Steira breaking away from the competition and passing the relay to Marit Bjoergen for a final parade that lasted 5 km.
