Sharp training period starts for Norwegian Cross-Country team as they go for high altitude training. Ladies' team left for Seiser Alm and Livigno already on Wednesday.

For the first time the Norwegian coaches decided to adjust number of high altitude training days for every athlete individualyl. Petter Northug and Martin Johnsrud Sundby plan to stay longest in high altitude with a total of two months, which will be spread between four training camps. "Two months at high altitude represent significant number of days.

It is also the first time in years when we adjust both training days and training plans individually to athlete's needs" says sports chief Åge Skinstad. "We have spotted that some athletes react differently to altitude training, therefore we decided to go for more individual approach" explained Skinstad to Norwegian NTB.
