Italy’s Cross-Country skiing ace Pietro Piller Cottrer will be out for a month due to bike injury he suffered in the beginning of August.

The champion of Sappada fell from his bike during a training session in the woods around his house. Piller Cottrer hit his right shoulder and hip.

“These things happen,” says Pietro Piller Cottrer. “Recovery will take about a month. I cannot ride a bike and only do some walking and running. Important thing is I will not miss any training camp on snow. I will rejoin the team in mid-September to do ski testing,” Pietro Piller Cottrer confirmed.
