Petter Northug is ready for the World Cup Final in Stockholm and Falun

Petter Northug skipped last weekend’s World Cup in Lahti. He caught a slight cold after the World Championships and decided to take a few days off before the World Cup Final in Stockholm and Falun.

Now the is the triple World Champion from Oslo ready for the last four competitions left in the FIS Cross-Country World Cup 2010/11. Northug cannot beat Dario Cologna neither in the Overall nor in the Distance World Cup standing and will focus on defending the second place in the standings. Sweden’s Daniel Rickardsson is only 65 points behind the Norwegian star from Mosvik.

FIS Cross-Country World Cup Final kicks off tomorrow in Stockholm with Royal Palace Classical Sprint.
