It was a long season for Pietro Piller Cottrer of Italian Sappada. It ended as late as on March 28. After the World Cup finals he took part in national races. Pietro has been in focus of Italian media recently:

"I had a lot of press conferences and ceremonies all over Italy during April. I am very happy about it as it shows interest in Cross-Country skiing in Italy" said Pietro to fiscrosscountry.com and added: "I am satisfied with the season and happy for the media interest. Silver Olympic medal, two second places in the World Cup races are mirror to my success."

Vacation on Maldives

It was not all about work and duties for Piller Cottrer. Before start of the summer preparation Pietro found time to go for holiday with his family. "We chose Maldives. We were there nine days and were doing nothing but pure relaxing." smiles Pietro.

Back to training

In the first days of May it is time for Piller Cottrer to get back to training routine and start preparing for next season which will bring two highlights; Tour de Ski and then World Championships in Oslo. Pietro Piller Cottrer's program for upcoming days is clear: "I will start running and biking. I also have to include in my training sessions in a gym. It has been the same every season. Good thing about this is I do not have to go anywhere but train at home in Sappada".
