• Martin Johnsrud Sundby (NOR) has had sore throat in the last days and is not racing - replaced by Tord Asle Gjerdalen

• Lukas Bauer (CZE) was considering not to start in 15 km free to be ready for

  the relay and 50 km classic but he will compete tomorrow

Petter Northug Jr. (NOR)

I would be surprised if I took gold tomorrow as I have never won individual start 15 km free. I’ve found a good way in mass starts and I have to do the same in individual start. Early on it is important not to start too fast and keep the pace.

Lukas Bauer (CZE)

Top 5 result would be great. I have not felt that good recently so the 15 km free will be kind of warm up for the other two competitions of the championships.

Reto Burgermeister (personal coach Legkov)

The weather forecast looks perfect and we can look forward to a great competition. The course is very tough. There are many favorites and I hope for sure for our skiers from Russia. Skis will be very important tomorrow. It will be challenging to find both skis and gliding wax as the stadium is in the sun and some parts of the tracks are in the shadow.
