Vibeke Skofterud had one of best seasons so far. Excellent classic technique specialist returned last season into the Norway's national squad after on year absence. She was second at World Cup opening in Beitostelen in relay, third in 10km Classic in Kuusamo and won Olympic gold in relay. She still misses individual medal from big event. World Champs in Oslo is next opportunity to round up the collection.

For 30 year-old Vibeke Skofterud the home World Championships in Oslo is the biggest motivation. "Not every skier has a chance to take part at home World Championships" said Skofterud to newspaper Drammen Tinende. The classic specialist does not hide to be on the podium of 10 km Classic: "The dream is definitely to get a medal in the 10 km classic. I'm missing an individual medal from an international championship" quotes Vibeke.

Vibeke Skofterud is now integral member of the ladies national squad where she was invited right before the kick off of the 2009/10 season. "It was not a difficult decision to accept the spot in national team. If you want to develop further it is a great advantage if you the best team in the world around you" she explains. Although Skofterud is back in the national team she continues in cooperation with her personal coach Steinar Mundal.
