After 2 months of training with camps in Caldaro (ITA) and Ramsau (AUT), Skinfit Racing Team moved to Nove Mesto for another 10 days of intensive workout.

Only a bit more than 100 days left to the first race – for sure enough time for training and getting the final shape but anyway seasons start is coming closer very fast.

Since Friday the whole team is preparing for the new long distance season with another 10 days of roller skiing as well as special classic workouts around the famous Tour de Ski and worldcup location Nove Mesto na Morave.

Martin Koukal, born in Zdar nad Sazavou which is only a few kilometres away from Nove Mesto really enjoys showing special roads and nice cross running trails to his team mates.

“Nove Mesto offers a wide range of roads, cross running trails and not to forget the challenging roller ski track in the stadium. I totally enjoy to train here with my teammates and since now I got only great feedback of them” says former world champion Koukal.

Also long distance specialist Stanislav Rezac is really impressed about the training opportunities here in Nove Mesto.

“Yeah, it’s just 2 hours away from my hometown. I really like it to come here and use the new roads around Nove Mesto for long and extensive double poling trainings, says FIS Marathon Cup overall winner Stanislav Rezac.

“Now we’ve nearly half time. July arrived very fast and training is running like planned. Athletes are showing up in good condition and hopefully we get some nice weather the next days, says Team Manager Marc Hager.

Already 2 weeks later the team moves to Oberhof for skiing and material tests in the tunnel.

“To keep the snow feeling is quite important for our athletes. Before the season we decided to have snow trainings at least once per month. Oberhof offers great conditions to test skis for the winter season as well as to stay in touch with the snow feeling” says Manfred Hierschläger, athletic director.
