Swedish Cross-Country team trains hard in hot summer days. There are five hard high intensity days in Öestersund waiting for Kalla, Hellner and Co.

“We keep up the pressure and inspire each other in the team,” unanimously say coaches Joakim Abrahamsson and Rikard Grip.  Sweden’sn national team members had a month off and trained on their own. Now they gather at the joint training camp in Östersund, which is the first one this month.

“All our skiers worked hard on their own in July. Now they are together and it will give them extra energy and motivation,” explain the coaches. Sweden’s development team 2015 is as well in Östersund. “We build the team for the future and want young talents be with the first team and learn how Anders Sodergren, Johan Olsson and the other top skiers are working in order to match World’s elite. It develops and strengthens the squad's efforts towards the upcoming championships,” reveals Joakim Abrahamsson.

Swedish squad is going to carry out in Torsby running and rollerskiing tests at racing speed. “There’s been a big amount of training for some time. It’s the right time to change the pace this week,” says Joakim Abrahamsson and Rikard. Swedish squad stays in Torsby until Friday.

As early as August 15 it's again time for another training camp with ten days of hard classical workouts at Vålådalen.

Swedish Federation reports that all the athletes are healthy except Piteå girls Magdalena Pajala and Jennie Oberg. Magdalena Pajala has had troubles with her shoulder and Jennie Oeberg caught cold.

“Robin Bryntesson injured hälbenen earlier this summer and can not train as the other skiers but Robin is in Östersund and is doing what he can,” says Joakim Abrahamsson.
