Team Nomination in Germany

In total eight men and ladies have reached highest status of A Team for the season 2010/11. All medalist from Whistler kept their place in the team.

Tscharnke new in the A Team

Thanks to the silver medal in the team sprint, Tim Tscharnke made it into the national squad which is formed also by Tobi Angerer, Axel Teichmann and Jens Filbrich. Claudia Nystad, Evi Sachenbacher-Stehle, Katrin Zeller and Miriam Gössner have been nominated for the national team which performed very well at the Olympics by winning Silver medal in the relay and Gold in Team Sprint

Broad B Team

Besides four men in the A- Team eleven others form the B-squad. Franz Göring returns to his racing form after having had bad start of the last season due to injury. Two German sprint specialists Daniel Heun and Josef Wenzl were sent to the second team. They will decide later of they continue in summer training with Tor Arne Hetland or be more involved in the German training system. On the ladies side six are keeping the B status including Steffi Böhler und Nicole Fessel.
