"The World Cup has been mixed for me. After the mediocre results at the beginning I doubted myself a bit. During training sessions I had been feeling very good and was quite disappointed that i wasn't getting the competition results. I felt I was out with the handbrake during the 30-kilometer race at World Championships, and my expectations were low and then it went really well which showed me how important the right attitude is. That was a lesson I definitely took away from Val di Fiemme. Actually I wanted to on Saturday after my last World Championship race to go back home to the Allgäu, but then I was in fifth and went to the awards ceremony and so I stayed and got to cheer on our guys in the 50 km. On Thursday we fly to Lahti. For the last World Cup competitions in Scandinavia, I try not to put great pressure. Of course I do my best and want to have very good performances. But I also have tried to enjoy my last competitions. The 30 km was difficult and I hope that I have recovered from them quickly and can still put out my best efforts."
