Tore Ruud Hofstad ended racing career

Tore Ruud Hofstad, one of the best skaters in the Cross-Country World Cup decided to end professional racing career. He takes a new job and starts new life in mid August.

Hofstad collected 13 podium placements in the World Cup races both in relay and individual competitions. He achieved the first World Cup victory  in Kuusamo over 15 km Free in 2005.   He was also member of he Norway's golden relay at the World Championships in Liberec 2009. He captured silver medal in pursuit in Val di Fiemme 2003 and bronze in Oberstdorf over 15 km Free.

Hofstad decided to quite professional racing career. "I'm starting a new job in the Union Insurance in mid- August, and look forward to new and exciting challenges there "he said to Langrenn.com.
