If you want to go skiing in these days, you do not have to travel to the Northern Europe or climb up to high altitude on a glacier. Since last weekend the Cross-Country season is under way in central Europe too.
On Saturday, October 27 the Cross-Country season started in Davos. Thanks to preserved snow from the last winter a Cross-Country course has been prepared in the Flüella Valley. Organisers stretched out the snow to 1.4 km long course in the woods. Fresh snow that came over the weekend turned the landscape in the winter dream. If you are nearby, do not hesitate and visit Davos. You can find out more at www.davos.ch and www.davosnordic.ch
Skiing in France
Also in France there will be a possibility to enjoy Cross-Country Skiing in late October. The French Ski Federation opens on the last day of the month, on October 31, a Cross-Country loop at Prémanon. The snow from the last year was stored under a thick layer of sawdust in the shadow. This week French Cross-Country team members are going to train here before heading to the northern Europe.
