The „König Ludwig Lauf“ is the big German Cross-Country skiing race. The König Ludwig Lauf is held every year on the first weekend of February over distances of 50 km and 23 km in both classical and free technique. It is part of the Worldloppet, the FIS Marathon Cup and the DSV cross-country skiing series. The 39th König Ludwig Skilanglauf will take place on February, 5th and 6th 2011 in Oberammergau. The 16th World Championship in Cross-Country Skiing for physicians and pharmacists will also be held together with the 38th König Ludwig Lauf. Further details are published on our website.

TRAVEL INFORMATION

By car:

From Munich: Take the A 95 towards Garmisch-Partenkirchen as far as Oberau, then follow the B 23 towards Ettal / Oberammergau (Munich - Oberammergau: 91 km).

From Augsburg: Take the B 17 to Schongau, then follow the B 23 to Oberammergau (Augsburg - Oberammergau: 98 km).

From Ulm: Take the A 7 towards Memmingen as far as Kempten, then the B 12 to Marktoberdorf, continue on the B 472 to Schongau, then follow the B 23 to Oberammergau (Ulm - Oberammergau: 177 km).

By train:

Munich to Murnau, change in Murnau to Oberammergau.

By plane:

Nearest international airports are located in Augsburg, Munich and Innsbruck.
