Rogla

VENUE DESCRIPTION

Rogla has been an acclaimed climatic health resort since 1996. The soothing effects of the climate at 1.500 m above sea level, in sunny locations, sheltered form the wind, are suitable for everyone experiencing difficulty with pulmonary diseases or obstructions. Nature has endowed the Zreško Pohorje with historical and ethnical attractions (Ošlak forge - the oldest preserved blacksmith's workshop in Slovenia, The Skomarje House, Žiče Carthusian Monastery, Slovenske Konjice - the old city centre and Trebnik Manor). Zreče, the nearest town is 15 kilometres away. The Thermal Spa Terme Zreče completes and enriches the Rogla offer. Thermal Spa Zreče offers a wide variety of health care treatments (acratothermal healing water, Pohorje peat, physiotherapy...) and numerous types of relaxation (massages, baths, Saunas, Sawaddee, the traditional Thai therapy centre...). The climatic health resort Rogla is famous for curing of pulmonary diseases and chronic obstruction pulmonary disease.

Rogla can offer variety of touristic facilities.

There are several excellent restaurants with exquisite domestic cuisine on Rogla and in Zreče (the Old Cottage, the Cottage Jurgovo and The House on Pesek on Rogla, the National restaurant in Thermal Spa Zreče and the small restaurant Špajza in Zreče...). We kindly recommend you to visit the Blacksmith Pub (Kovaški pub) which has its own production and packaging plant of domestic Blacksmith beer.

COMPETITION SITE

Cross-country stadium is situated around 300 meters from Sport centre and Rogla Climatic spa. The system of tracks is designed for different level competitions.

The cross-country tracks system is built around two separated tracks in length of 3,75 km, which have the same start and finish. Combination of both tracks can be expand to two tracks in length of 5 km. The inner part can be used for sprint in length of 1,5 km.

The cross-country stadium covers surface of 3,1 ha - 0,8 ha for the start and finish arena and the rest for the tracks in width of 6, 9, 12 and 15 meters. The venue includes 3935 meters of old tracks and 3030 meters of new ones.

The cross-country arena has a horseshoe shape with two connections (entrance/exit) to the cross-country tracks.

OTHER SPORT EVENTS

Over forty competitions in alpine, cross-country and snowboard disciplines take place on Rogla every year. They are organized by the Unitur team with invaluable help from Ski Club Unior Celje, which provides experts for technical and competition matters.
In summer time we also keep many sports competitions and events in cycling, trekking, tenis, fottball, basketball and volleyball.
Every year we also host many top athlets in all sport disciplines, which are using our sport infrastructure. Petra Majdič is one of our regular guest as well.
