VENUE DESCRIPTION
The Cross-Country stadium is situated approx. 5 km east of Cavalese, the main city of Val di Fiemme. A large number of well-prepared skiing tracks, which could also be prepared with artificial snow, are located nearby.

The capacity of the stadium is about 8.000 spectators and on the track approx. 20.000 can follow the competitions. The Lago di Tesero stadium was used for the FIS Nordic Ski World Championships in 1991 and 2003. Beside there, tourists have the possibility of going Cross-Country Skiing at Passo Lavazé, a center with more than 50 km of tracks at an altitude of 1.600 to 1.800 m.

Every January, Cross-Country skiers can take part in the famous ski marathon, "Marcialonga," which starts in Moena and reaches Canazei in Val di Fassa, and then returns to Val di Fiemme while passing by many villages near Cavalese.

HOW TO GET TO VAL DI FIEMME

By plane:
The nearest airports are Verona (150 km), Venice (195 km), Milan Linate (245 km) as well as the new airport of Bolzano (59 km).

By car:

Val di Fiemme can be reached, from the South as well as from the North, via the state road 12 of the Brenner pass or via the motorway A22 (exit Egna/Ora, toll gate distance 25km, Trento North or S. Michele) and then along the state road SS48 of the Dolomites (from Egna/Ora) in the direction of Cavalese or (from Lavìs) via the SS612 of the Cembra Valley or via the SS50 Rolle Pass San Martino di Castrozza.

By train:

There is a direct connection to the Trento station, or even better to Egna/Ora station; both offer a good bus service to the villages of Val di Fiemme.
